Snow Patrol New York

We went to see Snow Patrol the other weekend as they were playing at Terminal 5 in NYC and we hadn’t been to a gig since seeing Aloe Blacc play the Highline Ballroom. The gig was a lot of fun and the lead singer – Gary Lightbody – is actually very funny. They played a lot of classics along with some of their newer songs and they’re extremely tight as a band, musically (as you’d hope for a group of musicians that do this for a living J). Anyway, here are some choice pictures from the evening:

They mentioned that they were in Times Sq before the gig doing a rendition of their song ‘New York’ and I managed to find it on Youtube, well worth a listen (they start singing at ~1:48):

Ed Sheeran was the support act; he only played a small set and had a few technical difficulties with his loop pedal at the end of the set but other than that he’s an amazing performer considering he’s only in his early twenties (what did I do with my life, I had the hair colour!! J):
